On March 8th 2015, the Dutch Tax Authority gave Stichting Gelukskinders the ANBI status. With this status, Amira Willighagen’s charity organization now officially is classified as a General Benefit Institution (in Dutch: Algemeen Nut Beogende Instelling).
Donations to an organization with ANBI status are often fully tax deductible. Also, tax benefits apply for organizations with the ANBI status, for example when receiving instance legacies or large gifts.
