On May 10th, a donation agreement has been signed by the Department of Education from the North West Province, the Head of the Promosa Primary School and the Gelukskinders Foundation, in order to start development of the fourth playground.
The agreemtn was finalized in the last week of April, when Amira and her mother (our Chairswoman) Frieda Willighagen-Brand visited the school.
The new playground will arise at the premises of Promosa Primary School, a primary school with approx. 1800 learners. Promosa is a township next to Potchefstroom.
In November last year, a delegation of the Gelukskinders Foundation already visited the school in order to investigate what is needed to build a playground at this location. This is a good location for a playground, as the school premises is properly fenced and there is 24/7 security. The terrain does need leveling in order to be ready for the installation of playground equipment.
With the donation agreement signed, building the playground is expected to start in June.
