Today, the Constitutive Act of Stichting Gelukskinders (Lucky Children’s Foundation) was signed at the office of Hak & Rein Vos Notaries in Lelystad, the Netherlands, With this final step the establishment of Gelukskinders is completed and the foundation can start developing its activities to enable more disadvantaged children to play and grow up more luckily.
After the signing of the Constitutive Act was completed, the foundation’s key person, Netherlands’ youngest opera singer Amira Willighagen (10) symbolically opened this web site.
Stichting Gelukskinders was founded to fill in on Amira’s dream of giving disadvantaged children more joy and happiness while growing up by building playgrounds. In March of this year, Amira already opened the first playground in Ikageng, a township near Potchefstroom in South-Africa, which she co-financed from the revenue she made with her performances in the country.
Amira: “God gave me my singing talent. I want to do something good with it, and bring joy and happiness to children and grown-ups with my voice.”
