The agreement between Stichting Gelukskinders and the municipality of Tlokwe, of which Potchefstroom is part, has now been signed by both parties. This means that green light is given for building Amira’s third playground, Amira park Sarafina.
The agreement, for which meetings took place in Potchefstroom last month, describes the responsibilities and liabilities of both parties in regard to donation and maintenance of the playgrounds. The agreement currently applies to Amira Park Ikageng and the new Amira Park Sarafina, which should be finished for the greater part by the end of this year.
An important subject described in the agreement is, that Gelukskinders will continue to financially support the maintenance of the playgrounds for as long as it has sufficient fundings. In this way, the durability of the playgrounds will be secured.
