The agreement between Stichting Gelukskinders and the municipality of Tlokwe, of which Potchefstroom is part, has now been signed by both parties. This means that green light is given for building Amira’s third playground, Amira park Sarafina.
In a meeting between Gelukskinders and the municipality of Tlokwe, of which both Potchefstroom and Ikageng are part of, the agreements on donating playgrounds and the required maintenrance have been further formalized.
Het opera ensemble “Amici” of the North West University in Potchefstroom sent out this message for Amira, to thank her for Amira Park in Ikageng and to let her know that they’ll take good care of the playground.
These are the nice words which the volunteers of Ikageng sent to Amira, while working on Amira Park.
On July 18th (during Mandela Day) Amira’s first playground, Amira Park in Ikageng, was refreshed by studens and staff of the North West University in Potchefstroom. Below a photo report of the maintenance.

Amira’s first playground, which she opened in March 2014 and which carries the name Amira Park, will receive fresh paint during the coming omth. Stichting Gelukskinders today orderd the paint in all correct colours, and students of the North West University in Potchefstroom…
Besides developing new playgrounds, we find it very important to monitor toe existing playgrounds, in order to secure their continuity. These recent photos show Amira’s first playground, named “Amira Park”, almost 1 year after its opening.
