In the Rhenen area, it was commemorated that the Battle of the Grebbeberg took place 75 years ago. During the concert that was organized on the closing evening, Amira sung for a rained out audience.
The concert was opened by Pegasus Pipes & Drums. The story about the Battle of the Grebbeberg was told, and supported by impressive sand art made by sand artist Gert van der Vijver. The Symphonic Brass Orchestra of Ons Genoegen and the Gelders Opera and Operette Group (GOOG) ensured a wonderful musical performance, and accompaniment of Amira and other solo artists.
Afterwards, the majority of the audience walked to the War Cemetary to put a light on each of the 870 graves.
Stichting Gelukskinders would like to thank Stichting 75 Jaar Slag om de Grebbeberg for the impressive evening and making Amira’s performance possible.
